Throughout the history of man, there have been about as many theories and ideas about what moves the planets and stars and the meaning to be derived therein as there have been days on the calendar. Early philosophers like Plato and Socrates looked inward and documented the power of the human mind.

Art is perhaps one of the more subjective things in life. What is art to one person may be garbage to another.
At Breakneck Gallery, owners Sean & Kristen Burns aim to do something extraordinary: they are bringing fine art to real people.

When Cleveland Hosts the World
When Cleveland Hosts the World

For ten days the world came to Cleveland and I was lucky enough to be there for it. March 22nd through April 1st brought the 36th Cleveland International Film Festival to Tower City Cinemas and let me tell you, it was fabulous. This year’s festival presented 160 feature films and 160 shorts that came from 60 (yes 60!) different countries. Let it never be said again that no one cares to come to Cleveland!

Snow Days

It’s the bottom of the ninth; two outs. There’s a runner on third and two strikes on the batter. You can feel the electricity at Progressive Field. 42,310 fans on their feet and screaming, attempting to elicit a miracle from their favorite players. It’s blustery in Cleveland, a scant 32 degrees. The pitcher winds up for the delivery.

Bonna - Ruined
Bonna - Ruined

Chad W. Lutz
It’s not often that something of this magnitude, with this much force behind it, actually comes to be. I can’t tell you how many times people followed up, “Hey, I’m going to Bonnaroo this year,” with, “Fuck you!” It seems that music and arts festivals have recaptured the imaginations of music lovers again. If Woodstock was the prototype, Bonnaroo is the new protégé. But what’s strikingly odd is that the very things that made Woodstock such a success back in the days of Peace, Love, and power ruled by the flower are the very downfalls of the new kid on the block.
