"It was difficult to decide what to write about because there is only so much you can say about people having a great time." - Consequence of Sound talking about the 2012 Governors Ball Music Festival held in New York City this past June.

The festival, which grew to a two-day event in its second year, has already become one of New York’s most prominent festivals and has received attention from major publications such as New York Times, Rolling Stone, Huffington Post, Spin, and Wall Street Journal.

There were VIP tents at each stage. I only glimpsed from the outside, but the truth is the whole fest felt like a VIP experience." - Huffington Post

Founders Entertainment recently announced that the third annual Governor’s Ball will be held Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th of 2013. They also promise that next year’s festival will be the biggest and most exciting yet, as they plan to build upon the already successful attractions of previous years.

The festival will once again take place in Randall’s Island Park, and feature an array of musical genres including hip-hop, rock, pop, indie, and more. In addition to strengthening their already impressive line up (past performers include Beck, Kid Cudi, Fiona Apple, Modest Mouse, and Chromeo), the festival will also feature food trucks, beer pong, corn hole, wine vendors, craft beer, art installations, and other fun, crowd pleasing activities.
