Thanksgiving 2013

We here at AltOhio would like to pause for a moment to say thank you for your readership. It goes without saying that it's not every day people take notice of something you're doing, let alone enjoy it. We're proud to call Ohio home, and even more proud to have you as regular denizens of our web pages. To you and yours, a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Here's what a few of our staff had to say they were grateful for this year:

Amy:
Thankful for all the beautiful people in my life. Thankful I can afford a place to live and decent beer.

Ohio Gratitude: Thankful for all the lovely Cincy parks, the Bengals and (hopefully) the street car. WhoDey!

Hallie:
I am personally grateful for an amazing family that always has my back, and friends that make me laugh.

Ohio Gratitude: Ohio has given me the opportunity to volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland which has positively influenced my life in more ways than I can count.

Lisa:
I'm thankful for going to multiple shows and getting people to read my work, for finally graduating college, my friends, family, and Jagermeister.

Ohio Gratitude: I'm thankful that even though it is sometimes beyond human endurance, the winters and Christmases in Ohio are white, puffy, and beautiful.

Chad:
It's been a weird year. But to help balance out the strange, I've had beautiul people like my cousin Sam, my brothers Jason and Colin, my parents WIll and Penny, and a handful of other brick and mortars personified help me along the way. And, even though it goes without saying, I'm thankful I lived through Boston. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Ohio Gratitude: There are few states in the Union that boast three cities with more resolve, grit, and variety along one stretch of highway as Ohio does. This state is like an annoying older brother where, no matter how annoying he gets, at the end of the day, you can't help but love the jerk.
